     Nature Cell Biology publishes papers of the highest quality from all areas of cell biology, encouraging those that shed light on the molecular mechanisms responsible for fundamental cell biological processes. The journal's scope is broad and areas of natural emphasis will include:
Signal transduction and second messengers

Cell cycle and cell division

Membrane traffic and protein sorting

Adhesion and gap junctions

Proteolysis

Apoptosis

Organisation of the nucleus

Cytoskeletal dynamics and molecular motor function

Cellular mechanisms of developmental biology, immunology, neurobiology and human disease (provided that the primary focus is on general processes of cell biology)

Nature Cell Biology will:
Place a priority on rapid peer review and publication

Provide high quality figure reproduction

Publish papers at a length to allow full presentation of methods and results

Provide full text on-line

Provide continuous publication of Articles and Brief Communications on our website, before the papers appear in print

Cell Biology细胞生物学 内容简介：

本教材由复旦大学生命科学院细胞教学组牵头，组织国内外综合、师范、医学、农林等有关院校的11位多年从事细胞和分子生物学教学及科研的教授和专家，并在美国科学院院士、著名分子细胞生物学家georgee r．stark教授直接指导下编写完成。在系统阐述细胞各部分的结构和功能的基础上，重点介绍了物质运输、信息传递、能量转换、周期调控、分化发育、癌变、免疫、衰老与凋亡等细胞的重大生命活动。正文全部用英语编写，语言上做到简练与通俗，科学上做到精确与先进；既介绍细胞生物学的基本概念和基本原理，又反映各领域的发展前沿。为便于读者自学并同时掌握中、英文双语概念，各章尾附有思考题，教材的附录为细胞生物学常用词汇的中文解释。 本双语教材可供综合大学、师范院校、医学院校、农林院校的本科生和研究生使用，也可供教师、科研人员与科教管理人员参考。
